Beautiful location & stunning place! Stopped by while in the area for a coffee & snack from their cabinet case. The dining area was cozy & beautiful with long farm style tables. Loved the open windows, looking out to the cliff side. Fresh ocean air blew thru the windows as we enjoyed a coffee & slice of vegan banana cake that was delicious served on the most beautiful vintage tea plates. Every single detail is thought of here. Place seemed very popular & busy but service came out quickly. Also loved their gift shop in the front of the cafe with beautiful local artisan made items.

My Son and my Daughter-in-law took me to Hygge for an early Mother's Day brunch last Sunday as they were visiting from Wellington. We had 2 rounds of excellent flat white coffees and 3 scrumptious plates of "eggs benedict" with streaky bacon, hash browns and wilted spinach. We finished our meal with custard squares and a choc eclair. We sat indoors and admired the beautiful view out the window. Lovely atmosphere and great service especially as it was very busy. Amazing service from Chip and Luke our servers. They were so attentive and friendly towards us always checking how we were going and making conversations! Food tasted amazing as well. Recommend the chicken and waffles, the chicken tacos and the peach/raspberry ice cream!

I came on a Sunday, so a band was playing while the cool seaside breeze was coming in. The place is always clean with a chill and calm vibe. I was assisted by Dona, and she is just amazing - vibrant, positive, and just awesome all throughout. All the staff were attentive and happy to help. The food, especially the desserts, were amazing (asking Dona for a recommendation was a plus point). All in all, I never regret coming to the Hygge, and will come here to have that boost before the week begins. Thank you so much. 😊

We are so glad we drove to this little place by the sea! Food, service, atmosphere - they have it all! If you're looking to celebrate a special someone or occasion- look no further! FYI - the seafood chowder is amazing 👏 😋 😍
